Cross-matching blood
Blood for transfusion is cross-matched by
incubating recipient serum
with donor RBCs.
Direct antiglobulin test:
Agglutination → recipient has
IgM against donor
RBCs.
Indirect antiglobulin test (Indirect Coombs Test):
Adding human antiglobulin → agglutination →
recipient has IgG against donor
RBCs.
