Ticlopidine (less used because of risk of agranulocystosis)
CVA, TIA, MI, CABG, PTCA (prevent stent occlusion).
Only in patients who cannot tolerate aspirin.
Platelet ADP receptor antagonists.
Clopidogrel: GI haemorrhage (only slightly less frequently than aspirin). Side effect profile
similar to aspirin.
Ticlopidine: Neutropaenia (2.4% of which 1/3 were severe).
